Fostering a Future of Acceptance
ABOUT US
Born Without Bias is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to Fostering a Future of Acceptance by introducing young children and elementary school students to anti-bias literature. Through reading books that celebrate human differences, Born Without Bias creates a community that learns to accept equality and appreciate diversity. Born Without Bias acknowledges the importance of representation in literature. When children see themselves represented in books, they are able to relate to the characters, feel included in society, and develop positive self-images. Representation also motivates children to read and inspires them to achieve their dreams.

WHAT WE DO:
Via Zoom sessions, Mia will read different anti-bias books each week to children who have pre-registered on the website. After reading, Mia will discuss the book with the children and ask for their thoughts, ideas, and feedback. The focus will include the theme of the book and important lessons to take away from the book.
